I cook a lot at home and for my family. And by composting the kitchen scraps it helps free up landfills therefore benefiting the environment.
I compost because it benefits my garden, my community, the world.
For me composting kitchen food waste is just as important as recycling other household rubbish like glass, cans and paper. Just by doing this small deed helps the environment in a big way.
I feel good about not adding this compostable trash into the regular garbage stream where it would be transported to out-of- state landfills to rot in plastic garbage bags.
I compost because I love it. In nature, there is no such thing as waste. Our food scraps are valuable resources in helping to build healthy soil where ever we live and eat. That’s how each one of us can make a big difference every day!
I have a small edible garden in my backyard which gets a boost because of the nutrient – rich soil so as a homeowner, composting seems to be one of the best things I can do for the environment and for myself.
I take pride in recycling my food scraps. It makes me feel like I’m doing my part for the environment – less waste in our landfills!
It makes me feel good that I am doing something good for the planet by keeping it separate from trash and away from the landfill.
